Let us take you to Valmorel

Our MGM travel guide to discovering the Alps

Valmorel - Panorama Vallée

With its Rue du Bourg lined with shops, its lively little squares, and its fully pedestrianised centre, Valmorel embodies the authentic spirit of a mountain village. Designed as a traditional Savoyard resort seamlessly integrated into its surroundings, it stands apart through its harmonious architecture of stone, timber and slate roofs, far removed from the image of large high-altitude resorts. Nestled in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley, Valmorel enjoys an exceptional setting between forests, alpine meadows and mountain peaks. In summer, terraces come alive, hiking trails open onto vast open spaces and visitors enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere where nature and Alpine lifestyle meet. A family-friendly destination by nature, Valmorel invites you to wander through its picturesque streets, discover its traditional hamlets and explore the unspoilt landscapes that surround the resort.

Our must-see walks

Between lush valleys, legendary mountain passes and sweeping views over the Vanoise, Lauzière and Mont Blanc mountain ranges, Valmorel offers a wide variety of hiking trails. From gentle walks to more challenging routes, each trail reveals an authentic mountain landscape dotted with alpine pastures, forests and remarkable viewpoints.
